I was very sad hearing of Burkhards passing. He actually gave me my first job in SAP Ireland in 1998 and gave me a right grilling in the interview too. I didn't think I would get the job. But I did and I am still with SAP.

I still remember that he always told me to ring the customer and talk to them instead of sending emails, in fact he made me ring customers or sometimes rang them himself. That helped me till this day. He always had a great energy around him and you could ask him any question. I have very good memories of him.
